Recovery Effects officially has an employee!
Recovery Effects officially has an employee! I’ve been a part of this company that Graig built since the beginning, but have always held a “real” job on the side. This year has brought so many changes that it seemed fitting to end it with another huge shift. For nearly 16 years I rode the bus into downtown Seattle and worked in an office. The job afforded me the ability to pay my bills, covered my healthcare, and made me feel like I had a second family. Speaking of family, on the side I also helped my mom rebuild her small business, Seattle FlagMakers. When the pandemic hit and my office job switched to me being solo one day per week, it allowed me the time to dedicate to Recovery Effects. I learned how to solder, I designed my first pedal, Gallows In The Morning, and I could visualize a life that fulfilled me completely. Starting in February I will be splitting my time between Recovery Effects and Seattle FlagMakers. If we’ve learned anything this year, it’s that life is short and health and family are of utmost importance. Thank you guys for being a part of this journey and keeping our business afloat during these trying times. We are looking forward to 2021, and all the challenges and rewards it may bring.
