Repairs and Returns

Q: What is your Return Policy?

A: All devices are built to order and all sales are final through this site. We do not accept returns of fully functioning devices. We are a small operation and our primary focus is designing and building devices. Because of this, we’re not set up to handle retail returns or exchanges. Our authorized dealers do offer returns and exchanges, so if you’re unsure about a purchase, we recommend ordering through one of them. If you have questions before ordering, feel free to reach out - we’re happy to help.

Q: How do I register my product so it qualifies for your warranty?

A: You must complete the registration form within 30 days of delivery. Registration is required for warranty coverage and is non-transferable.

Q: What does the warranty cover?

A: Recovery Effects warrants our devices to be free from defects in workmanship under normal use for 1 year once registered. This warranty does not cover cosmetic wear, damage caused by misuse or negligence, or damage due to improper power supply. It also does not cover any devices that have been modified or repaired by anyone not affiliated with Recovery Effects. Warranty registration is required for coverage and must be completed within 30 days of receiving the device. Registration is non-transferable. If a repair is needed outside of warranty coverage, we can still service the device for a reasonable fee. The customer is responsible for shipping both ways.

Q: I need a repair. How does that work?

A: For all repairs, please contact us first so we can issue an RMA number and provide return instructions. Registered devices will be evaluated under warranty coverage. If the issue is not covered, standard repair rates apply. Non-registered devices can still be serviced at our standard bench rate ($75/hour), plus parts and shipping.

Q: I just purchased my pedal through this site and I think it's broken, what do I do?

A:  All of our units are tested before shipping, but if you believe your device is not functioning correctly, please contact us right away so we can help troubleshoot. In many cases, we can resolve the issue without a return. If the device is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect within 7 days of delivery, we will cover shipping both ways and repair or replace the unit as needed. After 7 days, our standard repair policy applies (see above), and shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We want you to be happy with your device, so please reach out as soon as possible if something seems off.
