Clipping puts a pair of germanium diodes in your signal path, adding a simple clipping stage to whatever you plug into it.
Choose between 1N270 and 1N34A germanium diodes with the front-panel switch, and use true bypass when you don't want it. No power supply. No batteries. No complicated controls. Just clipping.
Put it before or after a distortion, fuzz, or overdrive. Put it in front of a reverb or delay and see what happens. Place it after your favorite synth, sampler, drum machine, or other electronic instrument and discover a whole new range of rich, saturated tones. . It's a simple tool with a simple purpose: add some clipping to your signal.
