The Clacktronics VCF is a compact analog filter with a simple set of controls and a distinctly unruly personality.

There's a 12dB/octave low-pass filter, a band-pass output, two audio inputs that can be mixed together, and CV control for the cutoff. But the real fun starts when you turn up the resonance. This thing isn't particularly interested in behaving itself.

It's a great filter for adding movement, taking the edge off an oscillator, pushing sounds into self-oscillation, or simply making something that was clean and polite a little less so.

The Clacktronics VCF comes from the Build Your Own Modular project, an open-source Eurorack project built around simple, useful circuits and a DIY spirit. We're doing the DIY part for you.
